Summary
The artist, BØRNS, is releasing his work independently. He needs a website for his fans to pre-save upcoming singles and albums, subscribe to a release newsletter, and share single links and content.  I collaborated with him to design and develop his website. 
The challenge
The artist BØRNS is releasing new music independently. As he shares new singles and albums, he requires updated content so that listeners can pre-save his releases and easily find the music after it has released. His previous record label had developed a generic website that did not effectively represent BØRNS as an artist or the new look and feel of his upcoming album. BØRNS is seeking a more unique and customized experience to showcase himself as an independent artist.
The solution
I collaborated with BØRNS to create his website using Webflow. Our objective was to make the site feel distinct for each album release by showcasing updated artwork and music content. Each release consists of two phases: the pre-save phase and the release phase.

During the pre-save phase, we included a call-to-action (CTA) that encourages users to easily pre-save the music, featuring a hero section with updated content. In the release phase, the hero section is updated to provide a link for listening to the new content. 

The rest of the website offers options for users to subscribe, listen, and watch new singles as they are released. All iterations were responsible for web, tablet and mobile.

Process
Suddenly Album Release
BØRNS website for the Suddenly Album release took on a simple journal feel. With custom animations and icons made by BØRNS, it felt like creating a journal entry to showcase his new work as an independent artist.
"Letting Myself Go" Single Release
BØRNS was gearing up to release his next album and announced two singles ahead of time. The first single, titled "Letting Myself Go," prompted me to create a pre-save landing page. This page featured a preview of the upcoming music video and included a clear call-to-action for listeners to save the single.
After the single was released I updated his full website using custom animations and artwork provided by BØRNS. 
"Grateful For" Single Release
The second single that was released is titled "Grateful For." I added a hero section that features a pre-save button, along with new artwork and animations from BØRNS. Additionally, I created a new Singles section to showcase "Letting Myself Go." After the release, I added the "Letting Myself Go" music video as a lightbox in the hero section, along with a call to action encouraging listeners to check out the new single.
Honeybee Album release
In preparation for BØRNS' new album, Honeybee, I updated his website with a tabbed hero section. Listeners could either pre-save the alum or sign up for a limited-edition vinyl of Suddenly and Honeybee combined. I added custom animations to show the different sides of the vinyl, which can be seen on the website today. The "Grateful For" content was added to the Singles section.
Outcomes
Each release highlights the unique look and feel of every single and album, offering an easy way to keep listeners engaged as BØRNS shares new music. Each iteration was responsive for web, tablet, and mobile. The latest website achieved a 15% clickthrough rate. You can see the most recent version on borns.com
